שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת מִמַּעֲמַקִּים קְרָאתִיךָ יְהוָה׃   130:1

Psal. 130:1   A song of ascendance:

                                 From the depths, I call You, Lord.

אֲדֹנָי שִׁמְעָה בְקוֹלִי תִּהְיֶינָה אָזְנֶיךָ קַשֻּׁבוֹת לְקוֹל תַּחֲנוּנָי׃   130:2

Psal. 130:2   My Master, listen to my voice.

                                 Let Your “ears” be attentive to the sound of my supplication.

אִם־עֲוֺנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר־יָהּ אֲדֹנָי מִי יַעֲמֹד׃   130:3

Psal. 130:3   If You were to retain iniquities, Lord, my Master,

                                 who could stand?

כִּי־עִמְּךָ הַסְּלִיחָה לְמַעַן תִּוָּרֵא׃   130:4

Psal. 130:4   But with You there is forgiveness,

                                 so that You may be revered.

קִוִּיתִי יְהוָה קִוְּתָה נַפְשִׁי וְלִדְבָרוֹ הוֹחָלְתִּי׃   130:5

Psal. 130:5   I wait for the Lord,

                                 my soul waits,

                       and for His word I hope.

נַפְשִׁי לַאדֹנָי מִשֹּׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר שֹׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר׃   130:6

Psal. 130:6   My soul is for my Master,

                                 more than watchmen for the morning

                        waiting for the end of night.

יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְהוָה כִּי־עִם־יְהוָה הַחֶסֶד וְהַרְבֵּה עִמּוֹ פְדוּת׃   130:7

Psal. 130:7   Wait, Israel, because of the Lord!

                                 For with the Lord there is mercy,

                         and an abundance of redemption with Him.

וְהוּא יִפְדֶּה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל עֲוֺנֹתָיו׃   130:8

Psal. 130:8   So let Him redeem Israel from all its iniquities.
