Job 25

Job 25:1   Then Bildad, the Shuhite, responded, and he said,

Job 25:2   “Does He have dominion, and is fear with Him,

Maker of peace in His high places?”

Job 25:3   “Is there any number to His troops?

And upon whom will His light not stand?”

Job 25:4   “Then how can any person be just with God?

And how can one born of woman be pure?”

Job 25:5   “Behold even the moon, that it may not shine,

and the stars are not pure in His eyes.”

Job 25:6   “Then how much less a person, a worm,

and the son of any human, a maggot!”

Bildad seems to have altered his view of God.  In Chapter 8 he saw Him as a benevolent and just God Who may answer prayer.  Now he pictures Him as a despotic and distant Heavenly Being beyond the reach of humanity.  Inconsistent, isn’t he!
