Psalms 123

Psal. 123:1   A song of the ascendance:

I lift my eyes to You,

                                 Who dwells in the heavens.

Psal. 123:2   Behold, as the eyes of servants to the hand of their master,

as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,

so our eyes are to the Lord, our God,

to the end that He may be gracious to us.

Psal. 123:3   Be gracious to us, Lord, be gracious to us,

for we are greatly sated with contempt.

Psal. 123:4   Our soul has had enough of its satiation with the derision of those at ease,

                                 the contempt of the proud.
